About this
What is this?
I wear a little screen on my bag that shows what music I'm listening to: the song, the artist, the album art, sometimes the lyrics. The QR code on it brought you here, so you can hear the song too.
Where does the music come from?
From my own music server, which runs Navidrome. It's like a streaming service, except it lives on a computer I look after and the only subscriber is me. This link is a share of this one song, and it stops working after a few days.
Why would anyone build this?
No good reason. It's a very nerdy, completely unnecessary hobby project: a tiny microcontroller, a small screen, Bluetooth, a phone app and a server, all so I can show people what I'm listening to. I regret nothing.
Does this page track me?
It counts how many times it's opened and played, so I can see if anyone scans the thing. There are no cookies and no accounts, and the page itself doesn't store who you are.
